GHX Sessions at Premier Annual Breakthroughs Conference Focus on Best Practice Sharing and Healthcare Contract Collaboration

Attendees of the 2014 Premier Annual Breakthroughs Conference and Exhibition, June 10-13, 2014, in San Antonio, Texas, will have the opportunity to hear from GHX and its customers on how they are working together to improve contract collaboration and data synchronization to drive out costs and improve efficiencies in the healthcare supply chain.

In 2013, Premier selected the GHX Collaboration Portal solution, a single industry platform that enables manufacturers and distributors to optimize how they execute providers’group purchasing organization (GPO) contracts, thereby increasing purchasing accuracy and improving efficiency in supply chain transactions. One of the sessions at the Premier Annual Breakthroughs Conference featuring GHX and members of the supplier and GPO community is Thursday, June 12, 2014, from 10:20 – 11:00 a.m., in Ballroom C3. This interactive discussion will feature representatives from Cardinal Health, Premier and GHX, who will discuss how the GHX Collaboration Portal solution can be used to reduce errors, drive greater transparency and enhance price accuracy throughout the supply chain.

During the conference, GHX also invites manufacturers to visit its booth (number 1116) to learn how the company can help them meet the requirements of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Unique Device Identification (UDI) rule. With manufacturers of Class III devices required to comply with the rule in just three month’s time (September 24, 2014), it is a pressing industry issue that will have significant impacts on the healthcare supply chain. GHX recently partnered with PTC to offer a solution that enables manufacturers to submit their data through a single pathway that drives all critical data feeds to regulators, healthcare providers, distributors and GPOs, as well as directly to the FDA’s Global UDI Database (GUDID).
