NuVia is now able to extract key product data from the Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN) – such as UDI-compliant, Global Trade Item Numbers (GTINs) – and match it to your specific item master and purchase order history in order to create a download that is compatible with your supply systems. The FDA considers provider use of the UDI critical to achieving better data on post market device performance. Under its UDI rule, manufacturers are required to label products with UDI-compliant codes and publish to the FDA’s Global UDI Database (GUDID). Providers are also required to use the UDI in adverse event reports involving serious injury or death.
Listen to hear Bill Brewer, GHX Product Management and Karen Conway, Executive Director, discuss the current state of standards and how GHX is helping providers today.
